Bordeaux have agreed to pay a fee believed to be €5m for the 33-year-old, according to reports.

Koscielny joined Arsenal in 2010 and became a first team regular, appearing 353 times for the club in all competitions.

He was named club captain for the 2018/19 season following the retirement of Per Mertesacker.

Despite Arsenal’s efforts to keep him, Koscielny was desperate to return to his native France this summer and asked to be released from his contract earlier this summer.

Arsenal refused and eventually negotiated a fee with Bordeaux after the centre-back refused to join the club’s pre-season tour of America.
