By the looks of things, Manchester City loanee Uriel Antuna, currently with LA Galaxy, is going to be the first Chivas reinforcement for the 2020 campaign.

On Wednesday, Antuna was photographed in Guadalajara wearing an official Chivas jacket outside the medical facilities to reportedly participate in a series of rigorous physical exams.

Furthermore, ESPN Mexico reports that Antuna was already seen at the Verde Valle complex and it’s now believed that the 22-year-old will be announced as a Chivas player in the next 24 hours.

It’s unclear whether Chivas will acquire the Mexico international on a permanent basis or as a loan signing.

Antuna, who helped lead Mexico to the Gold Cup title with four goals and two assists in the tournament, scored six goals and provided six assists for the Galaxy this season.

Antuna, who was originally purchased from Santos Laguna in 2017, is currently under contract at Manchester City until 2022.
