Neymar is set for showdown talks with Paris Saint-Germain after finally reporting for pre-season training on Monday.
A week after he was supposed to be there, the Brazilian finally arrived at the clubâs Camp des Loges training ground at around 9:10 on Monday morning.
According to RMC Sport, the 27-year-old will now meet with Leonardo to discuss his future after the PSG sporting director last week confirmed that the player can leave this summer if they receive a satisfactory transfer offer.
Neymarâs father has remained in Brazil and is expected to join his son in the French capital in a few days time.
Over the weekend, the former Barcelona superstar caused controversy when he suggested one of the best moments of his career was the Blaugranaâs famous 6-1 âremontadaâ against PSG in 2017.
But writing via his official Instagram page, Neymar Sr strongly denied claims his son intentionally meant to disrespect the Ligue 1 champions.
âMy son has not been lacking respect to PSG or the athletes who played that game in 2017,â he said.
âSome of them [involved in that game] are currently his club mates in France. From the end of that game to today, he always remembers this match as one of the most important in his career.
âThere are a few journalists and fans around the world who consider this as the most important game of the athlete at the club. So why the controversy this time?
âMy son is an athlete of PSG, but he cannot just ignore his history, history that made him reach the French club.â
