For the second time this season, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has won his side’s Player of the Month award.
Benzema featured in eight of Real Madrid’s nine matches in January, scoring six goals in the process – including three over two legs of their Copa del Rey quarter-final victory over Girona.
The 31-year-old won the award as a result of a fan vote. The striker also took home the honor in November.
Benzema currently has a club-leading 19 goals in addition to seven assists in 38 matches in all competitions this season.
