Gary Cahill may be leaving Chelsea this summer but he isnât retiring.
In fact, that was something he was very clear about when the 33-year-old was quizzed about his future.
However, it appears his old Blues teammate Ălvaro Morata didnât get the message.
Following the England defenderâs Chelsea farewell on Sunday after his final home game against Watford, Morata sent a message of congratulations to Cahill on Instagram.
He did so under the pretence that the former Bolton man was calling time on his career, until Marcos Alonso corrected him.
âCongratulations on your great career,â Morata wrote to Cahill on Instagram. âIt was a pleasure to play by your side.â
âHe isnât retiring brother,â Alonso replied, accompanied by laughing emojis.
Yet another case of close but not quite on target for Morata at Chelsea.
