In what’s sure to be a very competitive match, Corinthians will host Serie D side Ituano on Wednesday in the last match of the Campeonato Paulista group stage.
Both teams have already qualified for the Paulista quarter-finals with Corinthians on top of Group C with Ituano surprisingly on top of Group D over São Paulo, who have lost five of their 11 Paulista matches.
In total, Corinthians have faced Ituano a total of 29 times over the years, with Timão winning 20 times, drawing six games, and dropping three contests.
In addition, Corinthians have outscored their opponents 54-23.
With their Copa do Brasil third-round second-leg clash with Ceará coming up, a number of injuries, and their place booked in the Paulista quarter-finals, Corinthians will likely play a reserve team.
