Bayern Munich won the double in 2018/19 but it’s clear a new era is beckoning.

With some old faces already departing, here are a few more players they should consider selling.

JĂ©rĂ´me Boateng

The writing is very much on the wall.

Boateng’s Bayern career has been on the slide and the marriage is now an unhappy one, with the club not even trying to hide his availability.

With Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez arriving, it just makes sense.

Renato Sanches

Another one that seems unavoidable for both parties.

The Portuguese has continued to underwhelm at the Allianz Arena, despite featuring more under Niko Kovac.

If there’s enough interest, it’s time for Bayern to cut their losses.

Ok, this one is a bit left-field, but stick with us.

Bayern are looking to revamp and rejuvenate the frontline, right? They certainly won’t be selling Robert Lewandowski, who turns 31 in August, but is it smart to keep him and Müller, who turns 30 in September?

The German didn’t score in the Champions League last season and hasn’t scored more than eight Bundesliga goals in any of the last three years. Sentiment aside, it might be time to cash in and find a younger model.

Sven Ulreich

Ulreich has done an honourable job as Neuer’s understudy but he’s never going to take over when the Bayern captain calls it a day.

Why stick around, then?

Bayern should sell Ulreich now, let him be number one elsewhere, and turn their attentions to the future.
