Sunday saw Lyon Féminines host Chelsea, while Bayern Munich took on Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League semi-finals.
Here’s a breakdown of what went down …
Lyon dominated the opening stages and went ahead on 28 minutes, after Magdalena Eriksson diverted a dangerous cross into her own goal.
The French side later doubled their lead through Dzsenifer Marozsán, before Fran Kirby missed a penalty in first-half stoppage time.
Chelsea came out fighting in the second-half and clawed a crucial goal back through Erin Cuthbert, who volleyed home brilliantly from 20 yards.
In the day’s second semi-final, Barcelona edged past Bayern Munich thanks to a winner from Kheira Hamraoui.
The French international saw her cross-shot sail in after being played through by midfielder Mariona Caldentey.
Bayern huffed and puffed but couldn’t break their opponents down, leaving them with a mountain to climb in the second leg.
