This weekendâs Serie A fixtures may not have been as popular as the narrative-laden Copa Libertadores final. There may not have been as much worldwide interest as there was in the Premier Leagueâs title clash.
We did, however, see Riccardo Saponaraâs backside.
Heading into the weekend, DuvĂĄn Zapata only had two goals this season. A hat-trick in Atalantaâs win over Udinese saw him more than double that tally.
Bravo to the Colombian!
They may not have been the finest goals youâve ever seen but Zapata was in the right place at the right time.
Oh, AS Roma.
Two goals up with seven minutes to go on Saturday, it looked like Eusebio Di Francescoâs men were cruising to three points.
Even after Cagliari pulled one back, they then received two red cards in stoppage time.
And then, after all that, they scored an equaliser with just nine men on the pitch.
Riccardo Saponara. Italian footballer or Kung-Fu expert?
An incredible unorthodox finish won Sampdoria a point in the 98th minute against Lazio.
Not a trick per se, but the best action of the weekend came from Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Talk about sharp reflexes.
A picture says more than a thousand words.
Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli pulled a rabbit out of the hat on Sunday.
Two goals down to Sassuolo, substitute Giovanni Simeone pulled one back.
Fiorentina conceded again, only for Marco Benassi and another sub â Kevin Mirallas â to rescue a point.
Thatâs some good use of the bench.
