Sergio AgĂŒero overtook Thierry Henry as the greatest overseas goalscorer in Premier League history while Watfordâs resurgence under Nigel Pearson continued apace with a stunning win away at Bournemouth.
There were only two games on Sunday but they produced a sack full of action.
Hereâs what went down.
England face South Africa in the third test at Port Elizabeth this coming Saturday but it was Aston Villa who were hit for six this weekend as Manchester City ran riot in the west Midlands.
AgĂŒero netted a brilliant hat-trick and took his total Premier League tally to 176.
Riyad Mahrez was also on song with two superb goals of his own with Gabriel Jesus rounding off the scoring.
All looked lost for Watford during Quique Sanchez Floresâ ill-fated return as coach and when Nigel Pearson was announced as his successor, everyone saw it as the Hornets preparing for life in the Championship.
How wrong they were.
The Hertfordshire outfit have been incredible since the Englishmanâs arrival and continued their outstanding form with a 3-0 win away at Bournemouth.
It takes Watford out of the relegation zone for the first time since September.
