Just when you think you’ve seen it all from Lionel Messi he goes and surprises you once more.
The little genius came to Barcelona’s rescue when they won 4-2 away at Sevilla on Saturday with arguably the finest hat-trick of his career.
It all began with a very un-Messi like goal to make it 1-1 after 26 minutes at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Get a load of this volley …
Sevilla then went back in front, only for Messi to equalise again in the 67th minute.
This time, he found the top corner with his supposedly weaker right foot.
And then, with five minutes remaining, the 31-year-old made it 3-2 with a delightful little dink over the goalkeeper.
Make that 50 career hat-tricks for Messi now.
Not bad at all, eh?
