Raphaël Guerreiro struck early and teenager Gio Reyna starred in Dortmund’s first win of the year.

BVB 2-0 Mainz

Things didn’t go so well later in the afternoon, though.

Dortmund barely threatened fellow Bundesliga side Mainz, losing by two goals as January signing Erling Braut Haaland made his first appearance in club colours during the second half.
