We were just getting used to having the Premier League back in our lives again and it was snatched away cruelly by the international break.
But that is now out of the way and we can look forward to welcoming the real stuff once more.
This is what we have to look forward to this weekend …
This is perhaps the game of greatest significance coming out of the break.
Leicester have been very impressive to start the season, particularly on the road, and that is in great contrast with Manchester United.
Since thrashing Chelsea 4-0 on the opening weekend, they haven’t managed to win a game again since, while the Foxes sit third as one of three unbeaten sides.
They could inflict another major blow on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ever-more precarious position in the Old Trafford hot seat.
To be honest, we’re not even sure that this would count as that much of an upset.
But the bookmakers have Chelsea tabbed as rather considerable favourites for their trip to Molineux and we just can’t understand why.
Wolves had a better record against the top six last season than they did against the bottom six and made their name of claiming big scalps.
The Blues have been frighteningly open defensively too and Wolves are the kind of lethal outfit who will exploit that in ruthless fashion.
The gaps between Chelsea’s back four and midfield will be apparent again and be punished by Nuno Espírito Santo’s men.
Liverpool are riding a 42-game unbeaten run at home in the Premier League – stretching back well over two years.
In addition, Newcastle are also bad travellers when it comes to making their way down to Merseyside, rarely leaving with anything to be too upbeat about.
The Magpies haven’t won any of their last 23 league trips to Anfield and have lost 19 of those fixtures, while Liverpool have scored in each of those games.
One surprise win away to Tottenham aside, this isn’t a Newcastle outfit who have looked like they are going to end Liverpool’s lengthy streak.
You may expect Manchester City’s trip to Carrow Road to result in another run-of-the-mill big win that has little else to say about it.
But keep a close eye on the performance of the red-hot Kevin De Bruyne as he has some Premier League records in his sights.
Thierry Henry is the only player to ever previously clock up assists in five successive top flight games, something the Belgian could equal with a pass for a goal this weekend.
The Arsenal icon also holds a record for the most assists in the opening five games of a season with seven, meaning De Bruyne will need three to top that record.
But he managed that very feat just this week with a stunning individual display against Scotland so keep a close eye on him against Norwich.
