Manchester City’s visit to Real Madrid has got us very excited.

It was Madrid who stopped City on their best Champions League outing so far, beating them in the 2016 semi-finals. This is a different City, though, and a different Madrid, too.

A trip to the Bernabéu is daunting for anyone but Pep Guardiola’s got plenty of history and it may not be the ideal hunting ground considering his less than stellar record on the road in the competition.

We won’t be able to take our eyes off of this one.

Frank Lampard captained Chelsea to the Champions League trophy back in 2012, in Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, against Bayern Munich.

Atlético Madrid are just the opponent Liverpool wouldn’t have wanted.

Dogged defensively, stubborn at set-pieces, and generally just football’s biggest nuisance. Liverpool will have to bring out the battering ram to break down Diego Simeone’s side.

Going forward, this is a great chance for João Félix to announce himself on the biggest stage of all. Atleti will look to harness the underdog status that Klopp generally tries to enjoy so much and it could work out for them.

If the Reds don’t grab an away goal in the first leg, they’ll need all of Anfield’s powers to get through.

Nice to see you!

Thomas Tuchel heads back to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund.

The PSG boss left in controversial circumstances, leaving a trail of dissatisfaction behind him. Fans and players will not be opening their arms for his return.

Of course, he heads back as the favourite to progress. Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, Mauro Icardi and Marco Verratti. Against Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Axel Witsel and Mats Hummels.

This could get very tense.
