With it being the festive season, the football season is in full flow and it’s already time for another round of Premier League fixtures.

It may already be 29 December but that hasn’t stopped the league from shoehorning in another full weekend of games before 2018 is upon us.

And so, for the final time in 2017, here’s what to look out for this weekend.

? Game of the weekend: Liverpool v Leicester City

There aren’t any real classics in waiting this weekend but we’re hoping Leicester can give Liverpool a game at Anfield.

The Foxes games against the big sides have been anything but boring. So far we’ve been treated to dramatic 4-3 at Arsenal on the opening day, a 3-2 thriller against Jürgen Klopp’s side in September and then a madcap 2-2 draw against Manchester United two days before Christmas.

Claude Puel seems to have turned things around at the King Power Stadium, so we’re hoping to see more of the same.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are both on top form lately, something sure to give Jürgen Klopp a restless night before the game. With those two linking up well, Leicester can beat anyone on their day.

Easiest 3️⃣ points: Chelsea v Stoke

Chelsea have won six home games in a row, Stoke have won just one of ten away games so far this season. Enough said?

After a somewhat shaky start to the season, Antonio Conte’s men have been brilliant.

Álvaro Morata netted a hat-trick against Stoke back in September and we could see him doing the same again here.

? Potential upset: West Brom v Arsenal

Arsenal won at Crystal Palace on Thursday evening but it was far from plain sailing, with Roy Hodgson’s men causing problems at 1-1 and again in the dying moments after making it 3-2.

The Gunners held on for all three points for just the third time away from home all season and it’s easy to see just why they struggle on the road. As soon as the midfield and defence is under pressure, they struggle to play their way out.

Surely Alan Pardew is well aware of that, as well as the fact West Brom have been given an extra two days of rest in the lead up to Sunday’s clash.

It’s a remarkable 18 Premier League games since the Baggies tasted success … but what if they can shock Arsenal for the perfect end to the year?

Keep an ? out for: Expensive fullbacks?

You know, like Fabian Delph? Guys like that are the reason clubs can win 18 games in a row.

We’re kidding, of course. But with January just around the corner it is time to wonder how well you could spend £300m.

The rumour mill is starting to churn and amid all the football you should probably also keep an eye out for deals that look likely to happen. Watch this space.

? For the record: City go for 100

A Manchester City win against Crystal Palace would not only make it 19 consecutive Premier League wins (extending the record they have already achieved) but it would take them to 100 Premier League points in a calendar year.

Has that been done before? Well, yes. But only twice.

After Manchester United (1993) and Chelsea (2005), City would be just the third side in the 25-year history of the Premier League to hit the landmark.

That’s mightily impressive.
