It’s Sunday, it’s your day of (enforced) rest but let us get it off right with some of the juiciest gossip from around Europe.
Liverpool look set to off load Xherdan Shaqiri when the transfer window opens again for business. The Switzerland international is wanted by several clubs including Sevilla and Roma.
It means that Jürgen Klopp will have space in his squad for a new attacker, with the Mirror saying that Timo Werner is most likely to join from RB Leipzig.
Philippe Coutinho’s agent has denied reports that the playmaker holds a grudge against Tottenham after a move to north London fell through in January. The Daily Mail say that paves the way for the Brazil international to join next season.
Diego Costa has struggled for fitness and form this season at Atlético Madrid and as such, Mundo Deportivo have him down as first out of the door during the next window. Roma are said to be very keen on his services.
The Sunday Mirror say that Chelsea have approached Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi’s services once he leaves Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
Another report also claims that the Blues are already in talks with Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to replace Kepa.
Meanwhile over in Italy, Tuttosport say that Juventus are ready to offer Paulo Dybala as part of the deal to see Paul Pogba return from Manchester United.
Another day, another glorious Manchester United rumour. This time the Mirror say that they want Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde – but that they will have to part with €500m to sign the Uruguay international.
Diego Godin leaving Inter and joining Tottenham’s José Mourinho revolution? We can’t wait to see it.
