Sergio Agüero has been named Premier League Player of the Month for the seventh time – more than any other player in history.
The Argentine striker wins the January prize after scoring six goals and assisting one other.
It is the third piece of history he made last month after he surpassed Thierry Henry in the best overseas goalscorer stakes and also broke Alan Shearer’s record for most Premier League hat-tricks when he notched up his 12th in a 6-1 win over Aston Villa.
His seventh Player of the Month award takes him past Steven Gerrard and Harry Kane, who both have six to their name.
