Barcelona have announced that Ousmane Dembélé will be sidelined for three to four weeks with a hamstring tear.
Dembélé came off the bench and scored the final goal of the night in Barça’s 5-1 Champions League victory over Lyon on Wednesday evening.
The Frenchman was already struggling with a slight hamstring injury picked up during last weekend’s LaLiga meeting with Rayo Vallecano but the club’s medical staff have now confirmed he has torn the femoral biceps muscle in his left hamstring.
That means the 21-year-old will miss France’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland, as well as Barcelona’s fixtures against Real Betis, Espanyol, Villarreal and possibly Atlético on 6 April.
However, there is a chance the winger will be back in time for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on 9 or 10 April.
