Jürgen Klopp has opted for Naby Keïta to fill the midfield gap opened up by captain Jordan Henderson’s injury.
The skipper is expected to be out for up to a month after picking up the problem against Atlético Madrid.
He is the only change from the side which lost that game in the Reds’ Champions League last 16 tie, with James Milner out due to a precaution over a muscle strain.
For West Ham, David Moyes makes two changes from the line-up which lost against Manchester City last time out, as his side look to climb out of the drop zone.
Ryan Fredericks is out through injury and is replaced by Jeremy Ngakia, while Arthur Masuaku makes way as the side revert to a back four, allowing Felipe Anderson to come into the side.
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Keïta, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mané.
West Ham: Fabiański; Ngakia, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Souček, Noble; Snodgrass; Antonio, Anderson.
