LaLiga officially confirm new El Clásico date and time


The first Clásico of the season will take place on Wednesday 18 December at 20:00 CET, LaLiga have confirmed.

Barcelona were due to host Real Madrid at Camp Nou on 26 October it was agreed that the fixture would be delayed due to civic unrest in the Catalan city following the Spanish supreme court’s decision to jail nine Catalan separatist leaders over their roles in the failed bid for secession two years ago.

But on Wednesday, LaLiga officially confirmed the date and time of the re-arranged fixture.

Barça travel to face Real Sociedad three days before hosting their fierce rivals. Four days later they will take on Alavés at Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are away to Valencia the game before the Clásico, and at home to Athletic Bilbao the following Sunday.
