He becomes América’s fourth reinforcement in the current window after left-back Luis Fuentes and wingers Leo Suárez and Alonso Escoboza.

América team-mate Federico Viñas made the announcement on Twitter, as he is currently with Cáceres as the duo are in Uruguay ready to depart for Colombia for the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament.

The tournament will keep both players out of the América side for up to five matches, as they attempt to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan.

Only the two teams that reach the final will qualify for the 16-team tournament. Japan, France, Romania, Germany, Spain, New Zealand, Egypt, Ivory Coast, and South Africa have already qualified.
