Birmingham have confirmed that Spanish tactician Pep Clotet has been placed in caretaker charge following Garry Monk’s sacking.
Clotet was assistant to Monk last season as the Blues finished the Championship campaign in 17th place.

Monk had been set to take the club into the 2019/20 season but was unexpectedly sacked earlier this week.
And now the Midlands side have revealed that Clotet will be in the dugout for their opening game against Brentford and although it is, initially, a temporary appointment, they are “not actively seeking” another coach.
