Antoine Griezmann has, as expected, failed to turn up for the first day of pre-season training at Atlético Madrid.
It was revealed on Saturday that the Frenchman would miss the opening session of the summer, with Marca saying that the striker had instructed his lawyers to send a letter to the club citing ’emotional stress’ as the reason for his absence.
And now it’s been confirmed that Griezmann has not reported to the club’s training ground on Sunday for their first workout of the campaign.

Gol say that the forward could be fined €60,000 while AS believe that Diego Simeone may fine him €3,000 per day for every session he misses.
Griezmann is thought to be angry with the way his prospective transfer to Barcelona has been dealt with, with the two clubs currently at loggerheads over how his €120m release clause will be paid.
