Mohamed Salah may have shared the Premier League Golden Boot award but he won’t be able to defend his PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award.
On Friday, the Professional Footballers’ Association announced their six-man shortlist for the Fans’ Player of the Year, which included Liverpool stars Sadio Mané and Virgil Van Dijk.
Manchester City had three players make the cut (Sergio Agüero, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling) in addition to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Sadio Mané also shared the Golden Boot with Salah and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Virgil van Dijk was named PFA Player of the Year award earlier in the month.
