Manchester United’s running stats for this season have been revealed, and make interesting reading after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s criticism of their fitness.

Following the 4-0 defeat to Everton in April the Norwegian tactician went on the offensive and hit out at the squad’s ability to keep going deep into matches.

“We know our fitness is nowhere near good enough,” he said at the time, and now the Manchester Evening News have revealed the average distances covered by the squad over the campaign.
