In 1969, Manchester City won the fourth FA Cup in the clubâs history when a goal from Neil Young helped Joe Mercerâs side overcome Leicester in the final at Wembley.
And 50 years later, Pep Guardiolaâs players have paid tribute to that legendary team ahead of Saturdayâs FA Cup final clash with Watford.
Before the game, the players warmed up in gorgeous red and black jerseys featuring the Manchester coat of arms and the names of the â69 team â many of whom were also in attendance at Wembley.
City have the chance to win the clubâs sixth FA Cup and clinch an unprecedented English domestic treble if theyâre able to get past Watford.
And there could be no greater tribute to Colin Bell, Francis Lee, Mike Summerbee and co than that.
