Finally some signing news for Manchester United fans!
Unfortunately, it isn’t of the Bruno Fernandes variety though.
ESPN have reported that in a rather quiet bit of business, the club have secured the long-term future of centre-back Eric Bailly.
The 25-year-old’s current deal had been set to expire at the end of the season.
But it has emerged that United triggered a two-year extension clause in his contract earlier this month.
That will now keep him at Old Trafford until at least the summer of 2022.
Bailly has yet to make an appearance for the club this season after sustaining a knee injury in pre-season.
However, he did turn out for the Under-23 side last week and is being pencilled in for a potential return in the FA Cup at the end of the month against Watford or Tranmere.
