Another transfer window, another move to Werder Bremen for Claudio Pizarro.
The 39-year-old has joined the Bundesliga club on a permanent deal for a fourth time, making the switch after appearing for relegated Koln last season.
Bremen tweeted the news on Sunday morning and said the former Peru international intends to finish his career ‘in Green and White!’
Sporting director and former team-mate Frank Baumann revealed details of how the move came about and said: “We have been in contact with Claudio in recent weeks and both he and we expressed the desire that he ends his career here in Bremen, here in the Weser Stadium.
“We worked through these thoughts intensively, we set the framework and then decided to start one more season with Claudio once again. “
