Cruz Azul right-back José Madueña is set to become the second signing of the Ricardo Peláez era, following the capture of Uriel Antuna.
Madueña arrived in Guadalajara on Tuesday to undergo medical examinations. A photo of him in a Chivas shirt has since leaked.
The fee for the player is unknown, but it is not expected to be very high considering the player only has one year remaining on his deal and he has only played 15 minutes since the beginning of September.
With Madueña’s arrival, José Carlos Van Rankin will leave the club and is expected to be a part of a deal that will bring José Juan ‘ Gallito’ Vázquez back to Chivas from Santos Laguna, just two years after his departure.
Several Mexican outlets report Vázquez will undergo medical exams on Wednesday, while Van Rankin, along with Alan Cervantes, will head to Santos in a two-for-one swap deal.
