When your luck is out, your luck is really out.
During their trip to high-flying Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern Munich had already hit the post twice through Robert Lewandowski.
Then this happened.
Yann Sommer fumbled an awkward Joshua Kimmich strike, with the ball slowly trickling back under his body towards the goal-line.
But in a last ditch attempt to prevent the goal, Sommer clawed the ball back despite it looking like a goal.
Replays later showed that a goal was miraculously prevented, with Sky Germany coverage reporting the ball had ‘99.2% crossed the line’.
Talk about fine margins!
