Things are getting colder as December approached but the Premier League sack race is hotting up.

Tottenham pulled the trigger on Mauricio Pochettino last week but who will be the next to go?

Here are the three most under fire managers in the league.

Marco Silva

Just when it looks like Everton have turned a corner, they stick the car back in reverse.

A win at Southampton before the international break should’ve been a springboard for Silva and his team. Instead, they followed it up with a home defeat to the bottom of the league Norwich.

Defensively wide open and offensively lethargic, the upcoming games aren’t kind and Silva will do well to last until Christmas.

Manuel Pellegrini

It’s now seven league games without a win for the Hammers and three defeats in a row.

Having won three of their opening six games of the season, West Ham find themselves just above the relegation zone. Their shaky defence haven’t kept a clean sheet in seven matches and Roberto is costing them a goal a game (minimum!) since Lukasz Fabiański’s injury.

Like at Everton, the next few weeks look daunting and Pellegrini is surely on the brink.

Unai Emery

A home draw against Southampton piled the pressure on Emery. Arsenal were third just a few weeks ago but performances have caught up with them and the mood has turned against the Spaniard.

Shkodran Mustafi has been dropped, Granit Xhaka has been dropped, Mesut Özil was dropped and has since been reinstated. Key defenders Rob Holding, Héctor Bellerín and Kieran Tierney are back. There are no more scapegoats left to blame and fans have now fully turned their attention to the head coach.

The next few games look nice, but so did the last few, and Emery has a chance to get points on the board. But Arsenal then face Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United from 15 December to 1 January. It looks like 2020 will provide someone else with a chance to take charge.
