With five Premier League matches postponed for the FA Cup this weekend, we’re bringing you a special edition of Friday Forecast in which we broaden our horizons and cast our eyes across Europe.

Here’s what’s in store.

The Milan derby

The Milan clubs may not be the European powerhouses they once were but we still wouldn’t miss the famous Derby della Madonnina for the world.

The Rossoneri go into this game on a run of five straight victories in Serie A and with Krzysztof Piątek having netted eight goals in nine appearances.

The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, are struggling in the absence of Mauro Icardi, whose last game for the club came almost a month ago.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side have only won three out of 16 derbies since the start of 2012 and have not beaten Inter in Serie A for three years but that could all be about to change.

What has happened to Borussia Dortmund?

In recent weeks, a number of disappointing draws combined with shock defeats at the hands of Fortuna Düsseldorf and Augsburg has seen their healthy lead at the top of the Bundesliga whittled down to nothing.

They go into Saturday evening’s trip to Berlin second in the table (albeit only on goal difference) and we fear that gap is only going to get bigger in the coming weeks.

Bayern – who host Mainz on Sunday – are out of the Champions League and will now be even more determined to clinch a seventh successive Bundesliga title.

If Dortmund lose at Hertha, they can probably kiss the title goodbye.

Keep an eye on

Le Classique

PSG may be 17 points clear with a game in hand but that doesn’t mean Sunday night’s clash with rivals Marseille won’t be a fiery affair.

A trip to Paris is always  going to be a tough proposition but it will be made even tougher for Marseille by the fact their supporters are banned from attending the Parc des Princes after violence broke out in last season’s Coupe de France.

Rudi Garcia’s men go into the game in decent form having picked up 16 points from their last six games, thanks in large part to Mario Balotelli, who has scored five times in seven games.

February 2010 was the last time Marseille won away at PSG and though we won’t be betting on them ending that barren spell this weekend, you never know.

Welcome back

Zinedine Zidane

Zizou stunned the football world earlier this week when he returned to Real Madrid just 284 days after claiming that he and the club needed a “change”.

Los Blancos are out of the Champions League, out of the Copa del Rey and 12 points behind Barcelona in the race for the LaLiga title, meaning Zidane’s objective between now and May is merely to salvage a morsel of pride from what has been a thoroughly embarrassing season.

Will his comeback be a fairytale return or more proof that you should never get back with your ex?
