This summer, Chivas looked at all possible options in order to reinforce their team for the upcoming season as they look to avoid relegation.

One of the many names that surfaced was striker Víctor Mañón, who has already scored five goals in his first two matches with Ascenso MX side Loros on loan from Pachuca.

In an interview with TYC Deportes, Mañón admitted Chivas made him an offer – one he eventually turned down.

“I had the option of going to Pachuca or Chivas, but Pachuca had a bigger project with the university and the sports complex,” Mañón said.

“For me, it was better in personal and professional matters.”

Of course, Chivas solved their striker woes as they were eventually able to land Oribe Peralta from rivals América.

Chivas will look to extend their unbeaten streak to five games on Saturday when take on 2019 Clausura finalists León.
