Uriel Antuna made his eagerly awaited debut for Chivas in a 2-0 friendly over Nexaca.
The winger, who spent last season on loan at LA Galaxy from Manchester City, was one of a number of new additions the Rojiblancos gave minutes to.
Prior to signing with City, 22-year-old Antuna was part of the Santos Laguna academy and made his senior debut for Santos in 2017.
Antuna came on in the second half as Chivas competed an unbeaten pre-season schedule.
Eduardo ‘Chofis’ López opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Jesús Angulo made sure of the result with a counter-attack goal in injury time at the end of the game.
Chivas will open their Clausura campaign with a home game against Juárez next Saturday.
