It appears that his pleas to remain in charge of Chivas were well heard by the board.
According to several reports out of Mexico, Tomás Boy will be the Chivas manager for the 2019 Apertura season. The official announcement is expected in the coming days.
One of the biggest priorities is that Boy has to finalise a plan to keep Chivas from relegated this season and then compete for the title the following year.
Tomás Boy will meet up with the team on 1 June after the club’s medical exams to begin a three-day training period in Verde Valle before leaving for Cancún for an 11-day pre-season camp at sea level.
Boy took over for José Cardozo at the beginning of April and led Chivas to one win and three defeats.
