André Pierre-Gignac is set to extend his contract with Tigres and stay in Mexico for at least another two seasons.

That’s according to club president Miguel Garza, who insisted that the Frenchman will put pen-to-paper on a new deal in the coming days.

Gignac has been a revelation in Liga MX since his arrival from Marseille in 2015.

The burly striker has netted 78 goals in 138 appearances so far but was linked with a move away with his current deal expiring next summer.

However, Garza called for fans to “remain calm” and that this week will see Gignac sign on the dotted line.
