This week in training, Flamengo attacking midfielder Thiago Santos suffered another injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time.

Previously, Thiago Santos has undergone a pair of serious knee surgeries. The most recent injury came last April after he tore his left ACL in his first week on loan at Chapecoense, prior to making his debut.

Thiago Santos also tore his left ACL in 2017 but recovered to make an outstanding impression on loan at Indian side Mumbai City FC the following year – scoring five goals in 13 appearances.

The last time the player wore the Flamengo shirt was in the Carioca Championship against Resende on 23 January, 2019.
