The potential ‘SuperChivas 2.0’ side could challenge for both the Liga MX and Copa MX titles this season but they first must worry about the health of their squad.
Hiram Mier joined the list of injured Chivas, which was previously headed by José Madueña and Eduardo Torres. The rojiblanco defender has no return date.
The update was given before the start of Chivas’ third pre-season match against Leones Negros, in which Antonio Briseño took his place.
Mier has been suffering from a sore left knee – the same knee which he had surgery on, which forced him to miss much of the 2019 Apertura.
Chivas won the 120-minute match 1-0 over the weekend, with Ronaldo Cisneros scoring the only goal in the 94th minute.
