Rumours that claim Ricardo Peláez will become the new sporting director of Chivas are starting to become louder and louder, but some steps must be taken first.
The former Mexico international, Chivas, and América striker was most recently the sporting director of Cruz Azul and was the president of América from 2011 to 2017.
Peláez also took over the sporting director role for El Tri prior to the 2014 World Cup.
However, having a guarantee of support for a long-term project is essential for Peláez to return to Chivas as a sports director.
He would already be scouting several players that would require strong investment with the goal of Chivas regaining the prestige they have lost in recent years.
One of the players who would be part of this project would undoubtedly be Marco Fabián.
Ramón Ramírez and Néstor de la Torre are also in the running for the vacant position.
