Earlier in the week, three unnamed Chivas players were fined for violating team rules.

Goalkeeper Raúl Gudiño revealed on Thursday that sporting director Mariano Varela spoke with the staff to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

“Mariano clarified the situation and they will know as managers what we as players need to follow.

“We are united, but we can make mistakes. Things could happen at a meal, a baptism, things that are totally normal.

“It does not affect us at all, we are focused on the match and as a team, we are very united.

“Yes he (Varela) asked us, but we are responsible, we are professionals, we know what is right and what is wrong.

“We are also people, we have that right to go out with our families because at the end of the day, they are the least responsible for the situation that occurred at the club.

“But like everything, we must be aware of what’s happening around us and take responsibility for our actions.”

Chivas will host Puebla on Saturday night.
