Dani Alves has admitted he would struggle to turn down a return to Barcelona.

The 34-year-old hit out at the club after leaving in 2016, complaining that his future was unsatisfactorily cleared up and his farewell was neglected after eight remarkably successful years.

Alves moved on to Juventus, where he won Serie A, and now PSG, where he has been crowned a Ligue 1 champion.

However, a move back to Camp Nou would be too good to resist if it were ever on the cards.

“Barça is my home,” the Brazilian told Globo TV.

“It’s impossible to say that I wouldn’t go back; I’ll go back tomorrow if they call me.

“If I was to say that I wasn’t hurting when I left, I’d be lying.

“It was painful when I left because I think that I contributed a lot to build a great history at Barcelona with results that maybe even the club never imagined.”

Alves went on to say the club had disrespected him, leading to his departure to Juventus.

He did, however, say the club offered him the chance to have an official ‘send-off’.

“I left with 23 titles in eight years. I gave them good results and they ended up not respecting my history.

“So much so that when I left they suggested a send-off and I said no, because for me that will always be my eternal home and if you consider somewhere to be home, then you have no reason to say goodbye.

“How was there going to be a send-off if you’re going to go back?”

Now 34, it’s difficult to see an offer for a return materialising.
