On Tuesday night’s match corresponding to Liga MX Apertura matchday seven, Pachuca played Club América at the Estadio Azteca in a heated match that saw Franco Jara dismissed early-on for an elbow to Bruno Valdéz after a VAR check.

The first half ended scoreless after América blew several first-half chances.

The game’s first goal was scored by Club América’s Antonio López strikes to make it 1-0 in the 47th minute.

Club América missed the chance to go up 2-0 after Pachuca goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey saved a penalty. Later on, Emanuel Aguilera saw red after collecting a second yellow.

Pachuca drew even late on in the 88th minute as Romario Ibarra scored to give Pachuca a much-needed point on the road.

América will be back in action on Friday when they travel away to Atlas.
