A little less than a year after his controversial exit from Chivas, Oswaldo Alanís will reportedly return to the club and make a lot more money than he did before.
Alanís refused to sign an extension at Chivas and went to Spain to sign for LaLiga’s Getafe.
However, the 23-time Mexican international was released from the club less than two months after putting pen-to-paper on a deal and featured 24 times for second-division side Real Oviedo.
Though the 30-year-old considered offers from fellow Liga MX sides Toluca and Atlas, Chivas was always his first intention.
Now, a report from Mexican daily Récord claims that his agent has negotiated a deal which will see his client earn $1m annually tax-free.
Alanís moved from Santos Laguna to Chivas in 2015 for $5m and featured 67 times for the Rojiblancos, scoring eight goals.
