Fagner is currently with the Brazilian national team, which, of course, has lead to some debate over who will take his place when Corinthians host Ceará this weekend.
During Thursday’s training session, it appears manager Fábio Carille made up his mind, using Michel during all of their drills.
Michel, Gil, Manoel, and Danilo Avelar formed the back line in training, working on specific transition work that will no doubt be used in Saturday’s clash.
Meanwhile, Jadson took over Pedrinho’s place in the midfield as he was called up to Brazil’s U-23 squad.
Jadson, Junior Urso, Mateus Vital, and Clayson will all play in front of Gabriel while Vagner Love will feature as a lone striker.
Junior Sornoza is with the Ecuadorian national team while Ángelo Araos is with the Chilean U-23s. Everaldo and Leo Santos remain out injured.
