Mats Hummels looks set to miss Germany’s game with Sweden on Saturday due to injury.
The Bayern Munich defender was part of the Mannschaft XI that drew with Mexico last Sunday, and was widely expected to keep his place for the match in Sotchi.
However, several reports from the local press have indicated that the 29-year-old has a neck injury and will be replaced by Niklas Süle.
Joachim Löw’s men are looking for their first three points of the tournament, and know that anything less than a win could see them fail to qualify for the last 16.
