Marco Antonio Fabián Vázquez, the father of Marco Fabián, affirmed that his son is willing to return to Chivas and reverse the crisis that they are going through, even though he is very happy with Philadelphia Union of the MLS.

Fabián joined Philadelphia in February after spending two years at Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

“I talked to Marco and he said: ‘I’d be delighted, dad. If they talk to me and make me an offer, I’ll gladly go to Chivas’.

“I’m telling you, before the closing of registrations for the 2019 Clausura, there were offers from two Mexican teams.

“Marco left it until the last day and finally decided to go to Philadelphia.

“I also worked in the MLS, it is a league that has grown a lot and he is very happy, but he hasn’t ruled out returning to Liga MX at some point and if it is Chivas, it’s better, because of the situation that is happening.

“We have talked about it (Chivas’ struggles) and it gives us a lot of sadness because we started there together.”

Fabián has scored two goals in five games with Philadelphia. The team are currently in fourth place in Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference.

The 29-year-old played in 232 games for Chivas between 2008 and 2014, scoring 57 goals in addition to his 36 assists.
