Manchester City are reportedly set to offer Phil Foden a bumper five-year contract extension next week.

The 17-year-old is seen as one of the brightest prospects at the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola promoting him to the first team at the start of last season.

The midfielder went on to make five appearances in the Premier League and three in the Champions League for the Citizens.

And according to the Daily Mirror, the club are set to reward their wonderkid with a new deal in the coming days.

They claim that the teenager is set to put pen-to-paper on a €30,000-per-week contract which would see him stay until at least 2023.

The British tabloid also reports that West Ham are interested in taking Foden on a season-long loan, however those advances will be rejected as Guardiola wants to keep the youngster around the City first team for the time being.
