When asked in an interview today whether or not there was a better person for the job, Tena confidently endorsed himself.

“I am not the best, I am the ideal. I feel very good, the players have received me very well in addition to the board of directors.

“I feel very comfortable working with this group of Mexicans, who are very capable. It is a better team than I thought, players who are better than I previously saw on the pitch.”

Since being in charge, Tena has led Chivas to three wins, three draws, and two losses in all competitions and has his club chasing a Liguilla place heading into their final match of the season against Veracruz.
