Before their clash with Club América yesterday, current Puebla forward, Lucas Cavallini admitted his desire to play for América in the future.
‘I would love to play for América,’ said Cavallini. ‘However, if I don’t end up there I have options from abroad too.’
Since joining Puebla in 2017, the Canadian international has played 79 games and has scored 79 goals.
However, Cavallini is also aware that playing for a bigger club like América would give him the projection he needs to move to Europe in the future.
‘It is easier to go to football in Europe from a large, media and flashy team than from a small one,’ added the 26-year-old. ‘I like it because it is a winning team and has a more stable project than Cruz Azul for example.’
