On Monday, Corinthians performed imaging tests that indicated a moderate injury in the adductor muscle of Junior Urso’s left thigh.
“It can not be said that (Junior Urso) is out or that he can play in the Campeonato Paulista final against Sao Paulo on Sunday. The week is just beginning.
“He has already started his treatment and we will wait for how his injury evolves. These lesions in this muscle are usually of a moderate degree,” explained Dr. Joaquim Grava, medical consultant of Corinthians.
Thus, Júnior Urso will not travel with the Corinthians team to Santa Catarina, where the team faces Chapecoense on Wednesday for the first leg in the fourth round of the Copa do Brasil.
Corinthians and Sao Paolo drew 0-0 in the first leg of the Paulista final on Sunday.
